1 Paulo Freire was once discussing how education systems work.

2 Freire said that in most education systems we ask students questions like “What is the capital of England?” and we expect students to tell us the answer by saying “London”.

3 Freire then said that in a real education system we would ask questions like “What does it mean for a city to be a capital city?” So I ask you. What kind of questions are YOU asking your learners?
